Draft version 2026-09-09
Who the service is for
AdaptAce provides family-led practice for Australian students in Years 3–9, including NAPLAN, scholarship and selective-entry preparation. A parent or authorised guardian creates and manages the family account and child profiles. Children use the student area under that adult's supervision.
Only add or share access to a child profile when you have authority to do so. Choose access roles carefully: other authorised adults may be able to see learning records, manage practice or handle billing. Invited adults confirm their authority when accepting access. The app records the policy version and agreement time when a parent or guardian acknowledges these policies during account or child setup.
Accounts and shared devices
Keep your sign-in details and parent PIN private. A child can use a parent-configured device handoff, or an attached student email with a supported sign-in method when available. Do not give a child the parent password or PIN. Check that the device is in the intended mode before handing it over, and sign out of shared devices when finished.
Practice, feedback and limitations
Questions, adaptive selections, scores and recommendations support practice. They do not guarantee improvement, a scholarship, admission, a particular exam result or complete syllabus coverage. Practice performance is not a validated exam-readiness prediction or an official rank.
Writing may be assessed manually by an educator. Where configured, the educator can optionally request an AI draft assessment and then review and finalise the result. Pending writing is not a final score. Content and AI output can contain mistakes; use the feedback tools to report concerns.
AdaptAce's preparation materials are not official examination papers. References to exam names describe preparation topics, not endorsement or affiliation.
Trials and paid access
Trial access and its usage limits are shown in the app. Paid packages are per-child prepaid access or exam packs: the current purchase flow charges once and does not automatically renew. The selected package's price, access period and set or paper allowances apply.
Review the checkout summary before paying. A verified account inbox is required before a real payment can start. Inbox verification is not payment confirmation: paid access depends on the app recording confirmation from the payment provider, not simply returning from checkout. Any demo checkout is labelled as a demo rather than a real payment. At the end of a prepaid period or after an allowance is used, starting new paid work may require another purchase. Billing shows available access and purchase information.
If you already have a legacy recurring subscription, its existing renewal terms still apply. Use Manage subscription in Billing to review or cancel future renewals. Buying a prepaid package does not cancel that subscription. Account deletion is blocked while a legacy subscription remains active; resolve the subscription in Billing before requesting deletion. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund past payments or waive outstanding invoices.
If a payment, access period or purchase is wrong, contact support with the purchase reference. No blanket refund guarantee is made here. Nothing in these draft terms is intended to remove rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Responsible use and your content
Use the service for authorised learning. Do not share another family's records, try to bypass access controls, disrupt the service or redistribute protected question-bank content without permission.
You retain your rights in responses and other material you provide. The service needs to store and process that material to deliver practice, feedback, reporting and support, as described in the Privacy Policy. Avoid unnecessary personal information in written answers and feedback.
Availability and account changes
Features depend on the deployed configuration and available content. The service can experience outages, errors or revisions. There is no uninterrupted-availability promise. Account export and deletion tools are available through Family account settings. Changing the account email requires confirmation through both the current and new inbox. Deletion requires inbox confirmation and places the account and child profiles it owns into a 30-day recovery period before scheduled permanent cleanup. Shared child profiles owned by another account remain. Contact support if you cannot access your inbox.
